It is a fact that this year the UK Home Office has approved more EU migrants each month than the number of illegal boat migrants who have arrived all year.

Official deadline for applying for settlement : 30 June 2021, a year and five months after Brexit

The official deadline for all EU nationals, their dependents, plus EEA, EFTA and Swiss nationals (as required by the EU under its UK-EU Withdrawal Agreement) who claim the right to live in the UK after Brexit was 30 June 2021.

This has been extended by the Home Office many times, with no requirement in law to do this.

As shown above, almost 0.9 million have claimed settlement rights after the deadline and an astonishing 0.5 million have done so in the first nine months of this year. More than 400,000 have already been accepted this year.

Where are these people in the United Kingdom?

The official Home Office data shows that Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have barely been troubled. 94% of the applications received this year relate to England only.

This follows a similar pattern to the entirety of the 6.9 million applications since the scheme began, with 92% of them coming from EU nationals in England.
