Trailer – ‘The Independence Documentary’ – Two minutes of Brexit star-dust!

A sneak, 2-minute video preview ahead of the worldwide première on Monday!

This co-production from CIBUK and Facts4EU is a ‘must watch’

Unlike Hollywood we can’t promise you steamy love scenes, car chases, or massive explosions, but we can promise a riveting 40-minute independence film with a superb all-star cast of politicians, economists, lawyers, and academics.

Our TV star Alex Philips takes our guests through their paces with probing questions, and gets some revealing answers.

This film is all about British independence at its finest

Regular readers will know that we spent many weeks filming this documentary and we’re very grateful to all those who took part. We filmed in and around Westminster, in the homes and offices of major figures, and on College Green outside the Houses of Parliament.

The worldwide première takes place at 11am in Manchester on Monday morning (02 Oct 2023). There are still some tickets left so if you want to be the first to see this film, and to have the opportunity to meet some Brexit heroes, then grab your ticket now!

Without further ado, here is a little taste

At just two minutes 30 seconds we’ve put together a very short ‘trailer’. There are more speakers and there’s much more in the full film, plus you get the ‘Behind the Scenes’ section at the end, which you may find amusing…!

Meet some famous people!

If you can attend the Première, not only will you get to see the first public screening of the film itself, played on the big screen, but you will also witness some of the stars appearing in person on stage with our TV presenter Alex Phillips for a ‘question and answer’ session.

Our celebrities will take questions from the media and also from members of the audience. For security reasons we cannot reveal who will be there but we’re sure you won’t be disappointed. We even have one panellist who is flying in from Washington DC! (And no, it’s not Joe Biden.)

Observations

Anyone who has ever been involved in film-making will know just how much time, money, and effort is involved. In our case we also had to persuade some senior politicians – who quite naturally care about their reputations – to trust that we would produce something of quality.

There may be those who question whether all of this is worth it. Our answer to this is simple. There is still a real need to get a positive Brexit and independence message out there and we must use all means to do so. The fact is that videos can reach a different audience, as well as being informative and entertaining for those who read our daily output on this website and on social media.

Even the Première itself has news value. We expect members of the media to attend the event and have engaged the services of a BBC cameraman (yes, really) to film the launch for us.

Finally, this gives us the chance to meet some of our loyal readers in person and to talk about the compelling issues of the day. Do please come if you can!
