CIB and other leave campaigns – a statement by our Chairman
We don’t have to have a figure head, the media will find it more difficult to attack the many facts and figures in favour of leaving the EU coming from a multitude of sources.
I agree David. The Press like one figurehead and on speaker. It makes it easier for them to attack one person if they disagree – Cameron’s shambolic attempts, and they way they attacked Farage, are perfect examples. The attack on The EU is much better coming from several fronts, each with their own particular axe to grind.
Both of the comments (above) are pertinent. The media (and many members of the public) like simple straight concepts like Four Legs Good, Two Legs Bad. Such and such is a ‘good guy or a bad guy’! Consequently Nigel Farage tends to attract a lot of fire from his opponents even when it is not justified.
The spread of support for us to leave the EU is terrific but we shall need a few ‘high powered’ speakers with some gravitas if we are to convince the floating voters.
