This report has been co-published with our affiliated organisation, Brexit Facts4EU.Org. We are most grateful for their original research into the raw data which backs what follows.
Over 0.5m net immigration in year to June 2022
Official facts on the chronic mismanagement of the country
The day after the Office for National Statistics revealed that net UK immigration in the year to June 2022 totalled a record 504,000, CIBUK.Org and Facts4EU.Org can expose the astonishing rise in the number of people registered at GP practices in England alone.
The number of people registered with a GP in England rose by 854,707 in the year to June 2022. In the last five years it has risen by more than 2.5 million.
Is it any wonder people can’t get a doctor’s appointment?

From a dearth… to a deluge… to deaths
There are days when official announcements and releases of official data are thin on the ground. On other days there is a deluge, and so it proved yesterday in the United Kingdom.
On the same day the ONS revealed that annual net immigration into the UK had gone over 0.5 million for the first time, NHS England also released its latest data on GPs and appointments.
In today’s report we pulls together two separate – but related – sets of official data. For ordinary people the connection between the two will be obvious, even if the Government prefers voters not to make that connection.
It is simply not possible to accept a huge number of additional residents (504,000) without them needing all the (increasingly scarce) resources and services which the existing population is using. The impacts are felt across everything from the transport network to housing to welfare to schools to healthcare.
With NHS waiting lists now topping seven million and growing, and excess mortality rising alarmingly, we felt it appropriate to look at how the numbers of people registered with a GP practice in England have risen in the last five years.
Half a million more residents, 850,000 more patients for GPs
For a great many readers, access to health services is a basic and vital requirement and should be a given in the fifth-largest economy in the world. This usually starts with your local GP.
